Tutoring Policy

Everybody involved will treat each other with respect. The tutoring environment is a safe space. It is expected that students will get questions wrong. It is the tutor’s responsibility to choose questions and the ratio of questions which are easy, medium or difficult. One should always aim to study material that is harder than the exam in order to best understand the material and receive the best possible grade.

To ensure that students get the most out of their tutoring sessions, students should have all their study materials ready to go at the beginning of the session, such as class notes, homework, textbook, pens/pencils, calculator, etc. (NOTE: If the student does not have study materials from school, it is primarily the client’s responsibility to acquire relevant worksheets and curriculum, however, the family can collaborate with the tutor on this, if desired).

The student and family must transparently provide the tutor with all of the student’s test grades and other feedback from their teacher.

Cancellations within 24 hours of the lesson will be charged at 100%. Last minute cancellation for true emergencies will be handled on a case by case basis.
